    Grandparents and Kid's Check-in

We are about to start using the Check-in System (Next Week) and had a quick question:

How do you all handle Grandparents who want to check in their grandchildren.  We are planning on using the Automated check-in process (Self Check-in with Bar codes), however, since the Grandparents have their own records in F1 and are not tied to the kids records in anyway, the grandparent cannot use the self check-in.  Is there anyway around this?

We do check-in at the household level so as long as one member of the household has the barcode number assigned to them the entire household will pull up.  For Grandparents, we will assign their barcode number to one of the children so that when they swipe their card it pulls up both households.  They then check their selves in and then swipe again to check in the kids.  We also do this for neighbors or friends that bring each other's kids from time to time.

Ahhh ... Dual assign the barcode.  That would work.  The only issue we would run into would be if we ever tried to register the Grandparent with the barcode using Individuals only (say for a different type of event).  But for my current needs, dual assignment might be a good "one off" solution.
