    Baptismal Records

How can I use F1 to track baptismal records?  I would like to be able to look at a household or individual and see if they have been baptized and to be able to add the baptism to their record when they take the plunge.

Our church set up an attribute group called "Important Dates".  Under important dates we created an attribute called "Baptism".  You can add attributes to people's individual records with the start date being the date of baptism.  We also type in where they were baptized in the notes section of the attribute.  Hope that helps!

    Blessings!

We set up an Attribute of "Baptism" and record the date, as well as who baptized the individual.

    Re: Baptismal Records

We created an Attribute Group called Salvation that has such Attributes as:

    • New Salvation
    • Rededication
    • Water Baptism
    • Baby Dedication
    • Baptized w/ Holy Spirit
    • Web Salvation (this is for people who hear the invitation online and decide they want to give their lives to Christ. We send them information on what to do next)

Now, before you theologians come at me with scripture, I know these things aren't all required to be Saved, it is just a way of classifying events that are part of your Christian walk.
