    Giving away bible for Contribution

    I need help. Our church is giving away a bible if you give $200.00 or more to our campaign. But by law you must show that goods or services were given for there donation. At the end of the year how can you show that the market value of the bible was taken out of their dontation.

    Could you split the giving record so that $5 goes to some sort of Receipt fund that defines the Bible and leave the rest to the fund tied to the campaign?

    It's more work for those records received, but it would separate out their giving appropriately.
