What symbology is used for the bar code key tags?

I know that our church uses the laminated key tags for check-in. I also know of the "trick" of using the outside bar codes from attendees that already have a key tag from their local gym or grocery store...within the max character limit specified by F1. What is the symbology used? Or how many are of the various symbologies are supported?

I ask because I would like to print stickers or labels as an alternative to the key tag. I currently have the 3 of 9 or 39 barcode font and I know it looks nothing like the barcode I have for my personal key tag.

The barcode field in Fellowship One only supports numbers.  Therefore if you use Code39 barcode font you only want to create numeric codes and not use letters.  the barcode scanner does the work of reading the code and producing the numeric output.  Fellowship One does not specify a barcode font as it does not store the barcode but the unencoded numbers.

"Fellowship One does specify a barcode font as it does not store the barcode..." Thanks Jeremy! This is good to know, unfortunately I have not any success in finding this documentation in my searches. Can you steer me in the right direction as to "WHICH" barcode font they DO specify?

    Richard,

I left out a key word.  the sentence should read "Fellowship One does not specify a barcode font as it does not store the barcode but the unencoded numbers."

    thank you,
