I am having some issues with DataExchange and I'm trying to figure out where they are coming from. We've been using DataExchange to integrate with our website for a while now.

We have it setup to where when a user creates an account on our website it links it to their individual F1 record and sets up the weblink username and so forth.

The system was up and running with no issues. Recently I've started receiving an error message when trying to create a new account with the same code that was previously working.

"soap:ServerServer was unable to process request. ---> Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen this error from DataExchange and what it means. I've googled it and haven't found anything very useful.

Another note is that if I run the xml that is generated by our website code through the Portal > Data Exchange > People Import tool it will work just fine.

Object Reference errors are the most elusive / irritating - because you cannot discern much from the error other than there is a missing "something."

 If your xml works via Portal, have a look at the following post.  It details some changes we are making with Data Exchange.  The Portal interface is currently consuming the API through "new" URL (referenced in the post).  Try changing your code to point to the new URL and see if that fixes it for you.

 If not, email your code to api[at]fellowshiptech.com and the team will have a look at it and help you get it up and running.

Yeah, I thought that may have been the issue originally so I updated the URL with no success.  I've sent an email off to the api email address.
