I am wondering what others have done in this situation. We currently have a children's ministry class that meets during our 11am service that is by registration only. We require that everyone in the ministry have F1 tags. I don't want to create another activity for this, and have gone in and created a room in the RLC for this class. The problem is that other children during check-in who do not have assignments are defaulting there. We have assigned all children in the class. Is there a way for me to close the class for everyone, but those who are assigned to the class as a participant?

You can lock an entire activity down, but you can't lock one or more rooms down this way.  The best option I would see would be to create a 2nd activity, lock it down (under Assignment Attributes make sure that Required is set to Always), and then tie the two activities together through a Super Check-in.  This will create a new check-in code that will provide the solution you are looking for.  Hope that helps.
