    re: Volunteer Pools

I am interested in learning how other churches are keeping track of their volunteer pools through Fellowship One? I would like to track volunteers that are available to help with special projects and have already been through the necessary interviews and background checks.

Do any of your churches offer potential volunteers the opportunity to try out several positions before committing?

    Thanks for your help!

    Re: re: Volunteer Pools

Our church takes people who are interested in volunteering and we hold a "volunteer tour" once a month.  This is led by a knowledgeble person(in charge of our volunteer central) who can explain each ministry/serving area.  The interested volunteers are taken on a tour of our campus in between or during a service so that they can see people serving and what they are doing as well as ask questions and be taught what each job entails.  The Volunteer Central person then directs each person to the area/person in charge of the ministry area they are interested in via Contacts in F1.

You could manage this through requirements.  Set up requirements such as application accepted, background completed.  You can run report M3740E on requirements.
