Multiple Christmas Services

Our church usually has up to 7 Christmas Eve Services. I was wondering how other churches add these to your activity schedule for your worship services in Fellowship One and how long you keep these activity schedules. At our church if we have to add 7 activity schedules (1 for each service time) and we don't delete these every year, our activity schedules pile up and are a bear. Do you delete them or do you leave them there all the time? There doesn't seem to be a way to make them inactive.

event registration discount per number of sign up

Hello all,

I searched the forums and did not find any ideas on how to discount the number of signup per family with a particular event.

i.e. -- A family with 4 kids wants to sign up for an event and we would like to give them a discount for the 2nd or more kids. The only way I can see to discount is by percent or dollar discount of the original cost. Using the percent method would have to be against total cost and require multiple promo codes for each of the numbers above the first.

Has anyone found an easier way ?

Easiest way to do assignments

We're new to F1 and I thought I heard someone say that an easy way to do assignments to an activity is just post attendance for a given activity and there is a database operation that occurs nightly that will assign anyone who attended an activity to that activity. Is this true? If so that would be the easiest way for us to do activity assignments (rather than one person at a time using the activity assignment tool).

Do you use the barcode tags for self-check in? If so, which company did you go with for that purchase?

Test environment for Check In

We are the VERY green church and about to embark on check in. I am curious to find out how other users who have done this implemented a good test base. In the manual, it suggests setting up activity schedules with recurrences. From what I can see this would not be an ideal appraoch but maybe I am not understanding this.

Address and attendance chart combination - Does it exist?

We do afterschool programs with children. We visit their doors and will be giving out attendance awards for coming two weeks in a row to the program. Is there anything that shows both address and multiple weeks' attendance?

Sunday Morning Check-in and Special Events

I am wondering what others have done in this situation. We currently have a children's ministry class that meets during our 11am service that is by registration only. We require that everyone in the ministry have F1 tags. I don't want to create another activity for this, and have gone in and created a room in the RLC for this class. The problem is that other children during check-in who do not have assignments are defaulting there. We have assigned all children in the class. Is there a way for me to close the class for everyone, but those who are assigned to the class as a participant?

Communication for Event Registration Set Up

I would really like to know what other churches are using in situations where there is a request for an event registration to take place. This would be a form of communication between the various ministries and the admin person who actually creates the registration process on F1.

Is there a form that you use that would be generic enough to include a registration from any ministry yet still allow an area to make it specific enough for each ministry activity? I would be very interested in looking at what has worked well within other churches.

Maximum Room Capacity for RLCs

OK-have I been completely out of it or has the ability to put maximum room capacities gone away from RLC set-up? I'm needing to put a maximum capacity in a room and have it cut off assignments to the room once the maximum capacity has been reached.

Any thoughts?

Event Managment

We recently offered Women of Faith Tickets on our website. With WOF there are many purchase options (i.e., pkg a, b, c ,d, pre-conference, premium seat, standard seat, boxed lunch). I have yet to find a report to help me truly analyze the data. I would like to be able to run a report to find out how many of each option have been ordered, how much money collect for each item, how many women volunteered to drive others etc. Any ideas?

Food Pantry - Setup Help

I see there is an old thread about a food pantry. We are trying to setup one ran by our deacons. The chairman has requested us looking into using FS1 to track people.

Two years ago at the Fellowship Conference Matt McMaster (calling you out dude) had a class titled "Creative Uses of Checkin". One use was for a food pantry & he knew a church that was utilizing FS for this.

Is there anyone out there with experience setting up a food panty that is willing to help out with some details? Maybe a phone call or email to hold our hand and help out?

Event Regs adds peeps to Group

We are doing our first web enabled event registration. Lots of options, love it. But is there any way to add the registrars to a Group instead of creating an Activity Association? We're using Groups for almost everything now and would love to keep it for Events too. If there's a trick, I would love to see it, thanks.

Deleting Activity Schedules

When trying to delete an activity schedule the pop-up says you can't due to either reocurrences or that there are staffing or participant assignments associated with that schedule. My list of schedules is getting long, what is the best way to get rid of them?

Help! Activity set-up w/ many facets

We run an Alpha Course in our church - and I'm having trouble setting it up so that it's most effective. We run Alpha I every Fall and Spring. Each Alpha Course consists of either a Tuesday class or a Saturday Class. Each Tuesday or Saturday class has small groups. We also run a Alpha II class every Fall and Spring on Tuesdays.

For past courses I have set-up the Activity Schedules to be Tuesday or Saturday and then filtered which course they attended, Fall '08, Fall '09, etc. by Activity Grouping. The problem is that the Activity Schedule is a running schedule in that case and never ends, which means if someone is assigned to Alpha, Tuesday they are assigned to Alpha Course on Tuesday indefinitly. Even if they are assigned to the group Fall '08.

My question is, do I have to create a new schedule each time I have a course? That jsut seems like it would be too crowded. And I wouldnt have a purpose for Groups anymore either.

I would appreciate any advice!! Thanks.

VERY confused about activity schedules

I was reviewing participant assignments in Children's Ministry, preparing to promote everybody, when I noticed that some assignments had activity schedules and some did not. I reviewed the printed material from Fellowship Technologies and it states "Every activity must have a schedule. Schedules are used for the Check-in system and to track attendance." However, my Children's Minister vaguely remembers being told not to assign a schedule. We are using check-in and it does not appear to give a participant assignment with a schedule; so I don't understand how some children got the assignment WITH the schedule and some got it WITHOUT. I know it used to be consistent, but I started noticing on reports recently the option of the activity with or without the schedule ... so I'm afraid it's messing up our reporting.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

Moving Registrations

We are using online registration for Summer camps ... we've had a couple of folks put their child in the wrong camp and we've deleted their registration and created a new one for the correct camp.. Is there an easier way to do this? I 'm hoping there are just some steps I don't know like a move assignment type of thing?

Assignments vs. Attendance

What is the advantage of having an assignment vs. tracking attendance only?

We strictly take attendance from check-in. We don't print assignment rosters and it's really something that I have to "clean up" every three months.

Would there be a problem with setting up activities such that assignments are not created. Our rosters have 70-80 people/class and it's hard to manage. (Not to fear, they don't all come at once :)

Any input would be very helpful. Thanks!

Food Pantry

We have been using F1 for over a year now, very effectively, for managing our Food Pantry outreach at another site. We have used "Food Box" in place of room, etc.

Two things would be helpful to keep this system useful for Food Pantry outreach:

1. Give the option to display the picture at check-in

2. Give the option to display the last date that an event was attended.

I need help. When we turn on our kiosks or laptops and start our F1 Check in it goes to checking for availalbe updates. It sits on this screen for anywhere from 5 minutes to typically 30 or MORE. Does anyone else have this problem? Are we missing something???

We are implementing 10 check-in stations at 3 locations and need to have the stations on mobile kiosks. Do you have a recommendation for a mobile kiosk cart for 1 or 2 stations. Do you have a custom design for a mobile kiosk cart that you would be willing to share.
