Running FO Contributions on a Mac - please help

Has anyone run the contributions software on a Mac? I installed Parallels Desktop 4.0 for Mac and also installed Windows XP, but FO Contributions is not recognizing my check scanner. I'm really frustrated and just wondering if anyone out there has figured out how to get it to work. I'd appreciate any help I can get.

     Thanks!

Does Windows see the scanner as being connected?  You can also tell Parallels to capture the USB port that the scanner is plugged into.  That should work for you.

I've been having the same problem so I gave up and went to an actual PC. Now the PC is dead, I may need to return to Parallels 4.0! Do you guys remember where the driver link is? Also, their support keeps talking about the scanner needing to utilize Com Port 1. Have you made sure that's what it's doing?
