Groups 2.0 Released

    Groups 2.0 Released

    It's a crazy time of year and our ministries are wondering if Groups 2.0 is coming so they can start the year off right.  I told them "shortly" a few months ago but haven't really heard anything.  I also heard that Groups 2.0 has already been released to selected churches for betaing.  Can we get on that list?

    Amen!  It would be great to only have to train our group leaders once - it avoids so much confusion.

    We were told we could be put in the phase 3 implementation of the beta in mid to late July.  We still are waiting to be added to the beta.   I think there were some issues that they wanted to resolve before adding any more churches.  Sometimes it pays to not be on the "bleeding" edge of technology when there are bugs to work out.  Big Smile

    Sorry if we actually gave you a timeline expectation, we didn't mean to.  To update you, we are witnessing our beta churches struggling with set up and missing a few key pieces. We don't want another solution like "Activity" which requires quite a bit of education and is easy to set up incorrectly, consequently the ACE team is asking that a handful of enhancements be added along with a new look at set up prior to taking this mainstream.  This solution is the base of a new Fellowship One and we want to get it right.

    Thanks Curtis for your answer.  I appreciate your transparency.  I wasn't aware that F1 is getting a extreme makeover.  Is there any more info on that?

    Ooohh, the "makeover".  That is actually a different topic all together.  We will be highlighting more in the coming weeks, but in a nutshell this is a complete site redesign; not functional.  We are working for consistency, additional space on the screen so we can add those contextual elements (like pie charts) and a cleaner foundation to build the new.  I can't say any more right now, in fact I might have said too much ;)  Stay tuned.
