• Re: Background Check Polices/Procedures

The only people who can see the actual background checks at our church are the children's minister, the family pastor, the executive pastor, and myself. I run all of the background checks to minimize the number of people who see SSNs. The executive pastor is in charge of looking over any flagged background checks and handles either approving or ...

  • Re: Kid's Check-in promotion

The only way to do this is to have the activity not creating assignments and have the rooms set up with a best fit based on age. You won't be able to do any reporting based on assignment if it is set up this way, but you can do all of your reporting based on attendance. We use this for our preschool department because there are so many different ...

  • Re: How do you track grade level?

To my knowledge there isn't anything in F1 that lets you set an automatic promotion date, though that would be very handy. You should submit that to the ''ideas'' section in the F1 Community! I wouldn't recommend putting the grade level into the attribute name. I would simply leave it as ''Class of 2013'' and then you won't have to worry ...

  • Re: How do you track grade level?

For attendance in the preschool, children, and student ministries, we like report M1119 specifically. For schedules we use a different report every time we need the information depending on who needs the information and what they need, so I'm afraid I won't be a lot of help. I've found that the report library almost always has a report to help us ...

  • Re: How do you track grade level?

In our children's ministry we have three rooms, The General Store, The Diner, and The Garage. Those are set up in the activity grouping as the Super Groups, and then the activity group would be Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and so on. Then we have the actual rooms broken down into Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, etc. This is really nice ...

  • Re: Entering attendance

Aweaver, you can enter a person into F1 with just their name and no other information. That way you can at least get your numbers correct and THEN tackle the process of obtaining that person's information. There are a couple of things you could also do: In our childrens ministry we have several separate places for people ...

  • re: Changes to Add New HH + Address Cleansing is back!

I just tried to log in to the staging environment using all of my normal F1 credentials and it wouldn't allow me to log in and give it a test. Will this be fixed soon? I'm very eager to give it a try!!!

  • Re: Best Set-up for Preschool

That is helpful! Thank you!I am also seriously considering getting rid of assignments completely for preschool as they don't have any normalcy when it comes to how many kids come in each age group every week. There are really no trends. Although I was opposed to the idea of not using assignments at first, I think in the long run it would be easier ...

  • Re: Individual Photos

I think the only reason we haven't seen this as a problem thus far is because you can simply click on the photo and a preview window pops up, showing the photo in the size it was uploaded. I would be interested to find out about the extracting the photos from F1 and what kind of quality they will retain.

Thank you! Yes, it helps a lot. Brainstorming we've come to the same conclusions, so I'm glad to see we're on the right track!

  • Report bug?

A few of my coworkers and I have noticed something odd and nothing more than just irritating about the reports and I wondered if anyone else was noticing the same thing. It's easiest to explain in an example, so when I open report M1119, the first ministry selected is Adult, but none of the other information about that ministry appears until I ...

  • Up to date student information

We have a relatively large church and are starting to see a problem with our student information in F1. We want this information to be correct, obviously, because without correct, up to date information the reports are pretty much useless. We've found that high school students tend to change email addresses often and it's difficult to keep up with ...

  • Best Set-up for Preschool

I was hoping I could get some input both from fellow F1 users and also the admin staff about our Preschool set-up. Currently we have the preschool children broken up into groups (ex. Turtle) by age, and then into one of two rooms per group (ex. Turtle A and Turtle B) so that the teachers are better able to teach. In the past we have broken ...

I haven't seen anything about this exciting Groups update, so I thought I would mention that I, too, am quite excited! Can anyone in the F1 team tell us anything more about the Groups 2.0?

  • Relationships?

I am in the process of learning how my church uses F1 and learning how we can then use it more effectively. In my reading, I've come across the Relationship option and I was wondering if anyone's church is using this option and what some advantages are to using Relationships. Thanks in advance for any information you can give!
