I think that these are both possible, though the second one requires a little more work.
#1 - There should be a URL created for online giving when you set up your Weblink Online Giving. You can use this URL behind the scenes for the button to direct people to F1's online giving.
#2 - While there may be a better way to handle this, the best ...

Well, pre-printing labels is one option I think I've seen discussed before. However, I am curious about the venue you're using - is it that you don't have access to a network or no computer or both?
I know that it is not supported, but using a cellular card, laptop, etc may be an option to look into. If you have reliable ...

I have a couple of ideas that may help:
#1 - How would you handle this with your original system? Would you have people turning in lists of who had checked in? In that case, you wouldn't have a list of who had checked out. Would you look at the lists in each room as you rounded up kids? Do the kids ever change rooms without something ...

Cool use of the application. I had some of the ideas in my head, but it's always interesting seeing how other people have used the system.
Curiosity - do you ever run into conflicts with someone at your church who buys a box and also has a default tag comment? How do you handle clearing out the tag comments?

Michael,
If you are asking if there is an online program that will enter the data directly in to F1 when the person finishes, I do not believe that there are any at this time. I know that there are several online assessments available and a couple that work with the people and the churches to not only help people discern their gifts, ...

That's a great question, Alicia. We've participated in some Angel Food ministries ourselves and our experience was great.
My first suggestion would be to use Weblink - this is just about perfect for what you're going to do. You can create the form, indicate what the person will be receiving in the text of the form, and ask ...

Thanks for the laugh, Curtis. I really needed that this week. Of course, my favorite IT boss was the one who was kept hanging on while his staff made up terms until someone slipped in something about a ''flux capacitor''. I'd never be able to do that with a straight face, but they apparently managed it for a couple of minutes.

Thanks, Mark. I'd actually run across the new templates just before I saw this e-mail and had downloaded/installed them to play with them. I settled on the one with the fly-out menu on the left as that seemed to work pretty well for the site I'm working on (except for cutting off some text - need to figure out how to handle ...

I know that Google Maps has an API that you can use to generate maps for addresses on your site. I've played with it for our church website and wanted to point out that there are definitely problems with the API. When I mapped our church through maps.google.com, I had no problem getting the exact location of our church. When ...

I think we're going to go the Typo3 route. For some reason the overall package makes more sense in most areas than the other CMS's I looked at. While I'm not crazy about the segregation of front-end/back-end in Typo3, the configuration for me was much more intuitive once I got over that hurdle. Even for someone with ...

Been a long time since I looked at this post, but I wanted to share my experiences so far. I installed Joomla (including the 1.5 beta) and was just not having a lot of success configuring things the way I wanted them to go for a church site. Some of the positives I saw were the wide support for plugins and even the availability of some ...

Is this company attempting to keep such things a secret? Are you bound by any anti-disclosure clauses in your contract to not say anything? Does the AFA already have knowledge of this (seeing as they seem to keep pretty close watch on this sort of thing in general)? To some people, it makes quite a bit of difference. To ...

Matt,
I am sorry that you had a slow response from Support for your question. You should be able to change the funds to support Online giving by going to the Giving tab, opening the Designations menu, and Choosing Add/Edit Funds. From there, you can edit your Funds to support online giving by choosing the "Web-Enabled" ...

I came across this the other day and thought I'd share the link. I thought that the author did a great job making his point. What do you think?

Here's a question that's been on my heart a lot lately: How are we as the local church body actively meeting the needs of those around us? How do we encourage our members to live out their lives truly as salt and light, not being a part of the world around us or conforming to it. How do we reach out and actively show ...

Well, I started serving before I was a Christian. I played in a local church's praise band/orchestra. I was investigating Christianity at the time - didn't really know what to make of it or if it was worth considering. I learned a lot from those people, from meeting with the pastor, and just from observing how they lived ...

Forget the staff - how do you get the church body as a whole to read this? :-)
Seriously, this issue gets to me in general just because of people who feel that their job is to come to a meeting of the local church body, drop $10 in the plate (seems that they remember the Bible says something about 10 and money), and go their way. The ...

The only possible issue I can see with just using one week to record attendance is that you could easily miss people who missed a week. I can't really think of a good way around that other than to perhaps collect attendance sheets from small group leaders and have someone do a Post-Attendance on the small groups.
That's relatively ...

Alisha,
Are you recording attendance for any of these people? If so, that would be your record that they were a member of the small group. Attendance would be permanent where the assignment could change as people may "try out" small groups or perhaps a group grows and breaks into two groups. In that case, ...

Would attributes work for you in this case? Assign each family or possibly even each member an attribute of "Newsletter - Email" or "NewsLetter - Snail Mail" or something similar. This would also give you the option of having a "Newsletter - None" option for people who want to opt out of any mailings you ...
