• Re: Joomla Authentication Plugin

Nathan, From here on you'll need to do custom code, including modifying your login form/module to be able to do what you are seeking. You will need to set a session variable with the indivudualcode from F1, or you can use javascript to open the F1 Weblink links. A good source to look at is how www.gccwired.com does it. • Re: Joomla Authentication Plugin

I found one thing that needs to be set in addition to the above. Go to Joomla Admin->Extensions->Plugins->User - Joomla! and set the Auto Create Users to No This will force Joomla to always authenticate against F1 and to not create a local joomla user. If this is on joomla tries to create a user in it database, if your login ...

  • Re: Joomla Authentication Plugin

Sure, the thought was to integrate the weblink login right into the website. Instead of using the F1 popup window. You would login using a nice themed login panel, then when you click a link for a registration, giving etc. the popup for that would open. • Website content mangement systems?

What content management system does your church use for website management? Ie. Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress, phpNuke, custom code, faithhighway, cloversites, etc. We are in the process of redesigning our website and would like to know what other churches are doing. Thanks Mark

  • Re: Running FO Contributions on a Mac - please help

Does Windows see the scanner as being connected? You can also tell Parallels to capture the USB port that the scanner is plugged into. That should work for you. Mark

  • Tracking other contacts

I need some clarification on what constitutes ''contact''. Here we have been challenged to appreciate 5 people in our church each week. This can include emailing, calling, or sending them a note. Is this something that should be entered into F1? Is it a contact? Is it a note? Or should this not be recorded in F1 ...

Is anyone else using the online giving/weblink in this way? We have a fund ''South Africa Outreach'' under which I created some sub funds for individuals trying to raise money to go on the trip. Is this the best way to do this? What are other churches doing? Thanks Mark

  • Re: PlanningCenteronline.com

We are yet another church who uses F1 but also uses Planningcenter. We use PCO for our service scheduling, since that is what it is designed for. We kind of use F1 for childrens ministry. I'm still waiting for the day when F1 lets us get at our data in a more usable manner. I.e. the RESTful programming they spoke about. Once this is done I ...

  • Re: Event Registration

Charlie, Everything you describe is easily set up with Weblink. Just take a look at the docs. You will want to add a question asking about transportation. Then when you're ready you just run a report with all of the data. You can ''manually'' enter data using a weblink form from the Weblink tab. Mark

  • What barcode scanner are you using?

We have some old scanners that won't scan a barcode at all. I'd really like to look at setting up self-checkin for our youth ministry using barcodes. Just wondered what everyone is using that actually works. Thanks Mark
