Can anyone who's using Fellowship One as their ChMS, but still using Shelby V5 for GL share your thoughts and workflow?

  • Batch scanning

Hi, It seems like the recommended scanner (Magtek MICRImage RS-232) can only scan one check at a time.  Our check scanning person will go nuts if she has to do that. • Giving away bible for Contribution

I need help. Our church is giving away a bible if you give $200.00 or more to our campaign. But by law you must show that goods or services were given for there donation. At the end of the year how can you show that the market value of the bible was taken out of their dontation.

  • Contribution Summary by Batch & Fund G1125

Does anyone use this like a Cash Receipts Journal?  It has a place for Fund Code & GL Account so I was thinking of using this report for GL entry.  What do you use if not this one???  Please help me... we just started using F1 in February and began processing deposits via the check scanner in March 2008.  Terry Lengefeld

  • G/L Post Date

Does anyone have a best practice for adding a G/L Post Date to contributions?  What is the implication of using an inaccurate date or not entering one?  Also, is there a way to batch enter them or must we go through each contribution and update manually?

  • Re: General Ledger

We use Blackbaud for general ledger and would like to have the ability to do more integration with it in F1, although I think that's doubtful.  Doing GL well is a massive project that I'm guessing FT would rather leave alone right now, although I'd be delighted to see them do it.

  • General Ledger

Don't know if any one else feels this way, but it would be very helpful to have a General Ledger function within Fellowship One, instead of running F1 for contributions and such, and the Quickbooks for the accounting side.  Any thoughts or suggestions?Josh Self
