In the massive amount of reading I did early on I recall seeing a paper on securing a check-in station. Does anyone have a pointer to a paper like that?
How are you securing your check-in stations? How would you do it if you did not have reliable access to a domain?
Thanks,
Dan

We are choosing which printer to use for our check-in stations. It has been suggested that we get printers with cutters on them.
Can anyone give a specific recommendation? The Zebra GX420d looks similar to the GK420d, but it can take an optional printer. Or do we need to stick with the Zebra LP2844-Z, which is slower and ...

We have been using Fellowship One for a while, but only recently moved our small group management from Church Teams to Fellowship One. This has not worked quite as well as I had hoped. I suspect I need to rethink how I set things up and I am looking for suggestions and/or best practices.
What I set up is: A ''Small Groups'' ministryA ...

As a father of two, I still remember the first time that I dropped off my children in a Children’s Ministry when I was searching for a church home and a relationship with God. I didn’t have a clue of how secure my children were in those back rooms. During the worship service I was unsettled. My mind was in those back rooms ...

We are looking for a way to have an alert pop up if a student does not have a requirement. Starting in the fall we are going to have an annual release form that we will be handing out and asking parents to fill out and return. It would include a medical release form in case we would need it during our regular programming or for any day ...

We are pretty new to F1 and something we are having a little bit of difficulty with is the no delete options.... I think overall this is a good feature meant to protect us the end user from accidentally deleting something and really doing harm to the database.
So my question is this. Is anyone using some kind of system to test something ...

Increasingly churches are meeting in temporary facilities
such as a schools or theaters. In some instances the church is able to
negotiate the use of the Internet at the temporary location. However, in many
instances they cannot and they are unable to leverage Internet-based tools like
Fellowship One Check-in. Until recently there were not ...

Ever wonder how you can control which rooms print name tags during check-in? There are two places this feature can be configured. The first is the Add/Edit Activity setup form and the second is on the Rooms & Locations setup form.
The rule is that if Print a Name Tag is selected for the Activity, then all Rooms & Locations for ...

I would also love to hear best (or worst) practices for F1 and multi-site. We are going to open our first campus Easter 2008.
To those of you using Fellowship One to support a multi-campus church:How are you tracking giving separately for each campus? Is there anything that you would have set up differently in F1 now that you ...

We are getting ready to launch our second site and I need to create the administration plan for F1 usage at both sites. Our two sites will be about an hour apart, so I don't know how much crossover we will have between the two congregations.
What works WELL for multi-site implementation? (different status's, different ...

Sorry I didn't reply to your question sooner. I've worked with one of my church customers that successfully used a Parallel Printer Sharing Device also referred to as a Parallel Auto Switch. They're pretty inexpensive. Here's a link to one that should work... http://www.cablesnmor.com/a885028.html. Please ...

We also use F1 ChMS and will be using F1 check-in, has anyone had problems storing computers in trailers during the week etc.
Thanks
Mark
