  • Re: How to handle Charitable Gift Fund checks?

We also receive multiple members who donate through gift funds, foundations and stock donations.  We treat all of these gifts the same and process these as a non-cash gift.  We also send a letter acknowledging the gift.  By processing the gifts as a non-cash, allows the donor to know that we received the funds on their statement (no ...

  • Giving away bible for Contribution

I need help. Our church is giving away a bible if you give $200.00 or more to our campaign. But by law you must show that goods or services were given for there donation. At the end of the year how can you show that the market value of the bible was taken out of their dontation.

  • Contribution Summary by Batch & Fund G1125

Does anyone use this like a Cash Receipts Journal?  It has a place for Fund Code & GL Account so I was thinking of using this report for GL entry.  What do you use if not this one???  Please help me... we just started using F1 in February and began processing deposits via the check scanner in March 2008.  Terry Lengefeld

  • Contributions for Individual on Behalf of Another Individual or Company

We have two members who are giving to a church campaign pledge through company paycheck withdrawals that also include a company match. The checks come in from the company in a single amount.  I'm struggling with how to record this in the contributions app. I'm assuming the employee amount should be allocated to the church member and the ...

  • check scanners for sale

We have 5 Magtek 22410002 check scanners.  BARELY used.  They worked just perfectly with the F1 contributions software but we opted not to use them after purchasing them.  They retail for $379 each.  If you're interested make me an offer and we can create a win-win for both of us. Sincerely, Don ...

  • Taking donations for missions via Weblink Online Giving

Is anyone else using the online giving/weblink in this way?  We have a fund ''South Africa Outreach'' under which I created some sub funds for individuals trying to raise money to go on the trip.   Is this the best way to do this?  What are other churches doing? Thanks Mark

  • G/L Post Date

Does anyone have a best practice for adding a G/L Post Date to contributions?  What is the implication of using an inaccurate date or not entering one?  Also, is there a way to batch enter them or must we go through each contribution and update manually?

  • Re: General Ledger

We use Blackbaud for general ledger and would like to have the ability to do more integration with it in F1, although I think that's doubtful.  Doing GL well is a massive project that I'm guessing FT would rather leave alone right now, although I'd be delighted to see them do it.

  • Re: Giving online, seeing different types of contributions

Ian, I can see where you are going with this question.  As a delivery manager I run into issues such as this quite often.  99% of your church would like to see their household giving together but 1% has an issue with how giving is reported or how it is displayed.  I might sound like I am exaggerating a bit but that is probably ...

  • Roadmap for DataExchange?

HI guys! First off thanks for everything you do - you produce a great system! Do you have a published roadmap for dataexchange?  I have three efforts that our pastoral staff is really asking our techteam to take on, and if we can do it as a part of F1 or  integrated with F1, then all the better. The first effort is to have ...

Mike, What you are interested in is Weblink.  This is already builtin to F1. Mark

  • Weblink Kick-off

We are about ready to start using weblink, initially for giving, but with the added benefit of members being able to update their own records. I was wondering how other churches have present ...

  • Passive or Active Assimilation – What does your church practice?

I was visiting with a customer recently and we were talking about their church’s philosophy on getting people involved in the church.  During the conversation it became clear to both of us that, although their church offered many opportunities to get involved, there was not a real push from church leadership to encourage any ...
