Are you ready for some fun? Then try living in the Holy Spirit EVERY DAY! It’s all for you, God sent the Holy Spirit to you specifically so you would know the pleasure of living and abiding in Him.
Sounds easy, doesn’t it? Well, I have a news flash for you…it’s the hardest thing I have ever done! But why, you say? Because, Satan whispers to me, “you can handle it,” “God doesn’t care about that,” “it is hopeless,” “you aren’t smart enough to do that,” “you deserve it,” “you should be happy,” “go ahead, nobody will know,” “who cares if it hurts his feelings!” Satan has crafted his way to manipulate me into believing in myself rather than in God. Believing in God is an easy choice, but believing God is hard for me. Once I made the choice to believe, he sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in me and all I have to do is submit to Him and he says, “My child, things are going to get easier.” But let me tell you what “easier” is not, it is not that God is going to hand you what you want, it is not that He is going to give you a million dollars or take away the disease or illness or that you run around happy and satisfied all the time. What “easier” is, is that you have inner peace (that’s not world peace for all you pageant girls) that God is in control and that He will handle taking care of things like mean neighbors, hurtful words, rejections, long work hours, kids who don’t always make right choices and the list goes on and on.
Whether you work in the corporate world or the ministry world, God wants you in His Word every day, seeking him like the crowd in John 6:24, they were running around the lake trying to find Jesus. I run around alright, but it is not always in search of Jesus. Now, in search of a matching shoe, yes!
