Mass Action preview (wanna change status for 1000 people at once?)

Ever wish you could quickly change the status of a group of people?  Add a contact record?  Create an assignment?  Add an attribute?  Of course the only reason I ask a question with such an obvious answer is because I want you to watch my latest video...

To view the video you need to access the UPDATES tab -> Mass Action

I just previewed your clip on the mass action option and you had asked for feedback. I was wondering if this action would allow you to delete assignments as well?

I'm also wondering how others handle out of date assignments.  Not sure if they leave these in tack as a sort of history on what people have been involved with...or post attendance on them and then delete the assignment once that individual is no long assigned to the activity.

I find myself wanting to clean up the assignments and keep them as current as possible which would make including this step in the mass action option a real plus.

It would be great to be able to mass delete assignments (like when we move up 12 graders to no grade when they graduate) or mass change staffing to inactive in order to create a clean slate of workers for an activity.  Thanks.

I am hearing the "mass delete assignment" thought more and more... certainly we are going to need to get this on the docket.  Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Curtis,

What I meant by asking about applying Mass Action to those in the volunteer pipeline would maybe be more accurately described as Assigning multiple people at one time through the Volunteer pipeline.  When we do a push for volunteers, we can have 600-700+ new volunteers to assign, all through the pipeline!  I was hoping the added feature of Mass Action would be applicable in the Volunteer Pipeline setting, but it sounds like this idea is really a different type of enhancement. Correct?

What about the ability to assign an attribute through mass action as well. This is something that would be very benefical as we would pull a query based on a participant assignment and if it's a one time event, we use attributes to keep some of the history, so if we could add an attribute that would be great. Then we could go back and mass delete the participant assignment if that was available.

Thanks!
