Hsld/Ind 2.0 - Household Members

The project known simply as "Household/Individual 2.0" is a key building block in the overall re-design of Fellowship One.  We are excited to share our design ideas based wholly on your feedback of our product over the last several years.  We can’t afford to simply build this stuff in the dark and then spring it on you, so we are sharing this design step with you to help foster a better design/workflow/experience; your feedback is very important!  Please take the opportunity to shape this project by reviewing each of the following videos and commenting as you can.  In addition, please ask others who have an expertise in the area to review it and comment.

Thanks.

Curtis, I absolutely love this. Tho only other thing I would like to see is the last date of any attribute or contact. Would help to know if they were current or old before taking time to go deeper. Thanks so much...this is great!

We can't wait to see this live!  Will the security control what notes a person sees -  confidential notes remain confidential and Pastoral notes are only seen by the person who has rights?  I agree that the giving area should be closed unless specifically opened - but the ease with getting there is wonderful!

Notes - if you have the note type associated to you, you will see it.

Contacts - we will look at the ministry the contact is currently associated with and only show the contact to the people with that ministry right; confidential notes within contacts will require that the user has the contact confidential note security right.

It would be helpful to see the Vimeo in a full screen view.

We use "Other" status quite a bit.  We're not sure we want this status to be hidden.  Would we know if a household had "Other" without looking?  We don't use "Visitor" status right now because it is hidden and cumbersome to find.

What are Groups and Forms?

Is the Suffix going to show in all views?  Right now it doesn't, so we haven't been using it, but have been adding it to the last name so it is visible.

Will we know the attendance activities/dates without having to enter dates?

Hi Curtis

Again, looks really good. We do gauge a lot by the number of assignments that they have. Is this something that could be included in the little summary bar for each person?

Thanks!

Curtis - I like the labels "Head", "Spouse", "Child" on the default pictures. Will those labels still be shown in a church decides to import pictures of their participants into F1?

@jschneider, yes the labels over the pictures are overlays and will be shown no matter how the picture got into F1

One of the big issues we have is with the labels of people (head, spouse, children)

Will you be updated those labels to be more friendly to more types of families (head, partner, children) or (partner, partner, children)

In the Household Summary where there are counts on Attributes, Notes, etc there should be counts on the active Participant Assignments and active Staff Assignments.  This can be one of the key counts when looking at individual involvement within a household.

The First Record Date should show beside the individuals picture.  This tells us how long they have been at the church.  It also is very helpful in sorting out duplicates.

We like seeing the suffix Jr. and Sr.  Keep it in.

Don’t hide Other.  We have numerous households where they have brought a neighbor/friend.  Until we have clear information we normally keep them in an Other status and want to know they are there.  Also we use Other for extended family members and want to know they are there.

Edit All Members – This is good to have.  We would select the elements we want to change.  We would normally use this for Status, Status Date, and Status Comments (needs an option to overwrite or append).  If we have situations where we put different information for family members then we would do it individually.

In the individual view the household members on the right panel should have the first record date showing along with status and date of birth.

This may be a silly question, but I will ask it anyway...is this just a organized way to view the information or can I edit an individual's information from this view? Lee Holley
