Hsld/Ind 2.0 - Involvement

The project known simply as "Household/Individual 2.0" is a key building block in the overall re-design of Fellowship One.  We are excited to share our design ideas based wholly on your feedback of our product over the last several years.  We can’t afford to simply build this stuff in the dark and then spring it on you, so we are sharing this design step with you to help foster a better design/workflow/experience; your feedback is very important!  Please take the opportunity to shape this project by reviewing each of the following videos and commenting as you can.  In addition, please ask others who have an expertise in the area to review it and comment.

Thanks.

Curtis,

I love it!!!!  I see this as having a HUGE impact with Congregational Care.  When an attender calls in for help and support, we can easily see how involved they are, where that involvement is and get them directed to the correct ministry for comfort and care.  If an attender serves as a greeter, is involved in a small group, and attends a Men's ministry function - we can quickly determine where he is most involved and have that ministry be the first to reach out and meet his needs.  What a wonderful update!!!

I love the new layout. I am a little concerned about the giving portion. I would rather see the giving not as easy to access. We have a few people that do multiple tasks and for them to see the giving always on their screen every time they go to a record will be an issue especially if someone else is working with them. I understand the easy access but the information should be hidden.

Great feature.  This has the potential to help us tremendously in helping those we serve.  Can we have this yesterday?

Love it!!  This is a good thing!

I have a Care Pastor and his very busy staff who have to check involvement and attendance before any benevolence requests can be processed.

Good work!

What if assignments don't have dates?  Many of our assignments are to general activities and don't have an activity schedule.  How are these going to show?

Love the idea of showing involvement!

@adinaj for participant assignments we will using the activity schedule (a required field), for staffing assignments we will first look at the staff schedule, if one doesn't exist (as you mention) we will use the activity schedule (again, this is a required field).

It might be more helpful to see a list of attendance and activity assignments by dates, starting with most recent.

Huge improvements!  Excellent work!  My one suggestion would be in the attendance area to allow a quick snapshot of details when you hold the mouse over the dot.  It may not be extremely necessary, but an idea.  I see it breaks down to ministry when you click on the individual, which is really nice.

Curtis - I agree bervin about the giving information. Two possible solutions/options for that. The easy one is to make that "Household Involvement" section act like the "Individual Attendence/ Assignments" section. In the "Individual Attendence/ Assignments" section you seem to be able to change your view "View All / View Attendence Only / View Assignments Only" with the default being "View All". In the "Household Involvement" section you could add those options so that you can view "View All / View Attendance Only / View Giving Only" with the default being "View Attendance Only". The other "additional" option is to add a Portal Configuration option section to the Admin Tab allowing churches customize the portal and turn the feature off and on.

The household view with dots for each member also needs to show future assignments the same as the individual view.

We have assignments that do not have an activity schedule because of the nature of the activity or as a result of a form question assignment.  We would like to see a count of those for the individual in the household view and by ministry in the individual view.  Perhaps it could be shown on the right side as a simple count.

When sections are collapsed there is a lot of screen space used for the title bar and spacing.  There should be less white space so as to minimize scrolling.

The dot section should be able to be collapsed/uncollapsed.

Will there be the open under the security rights where the action of giving on a certain date can be seen, but the user can get no more information than that? I want to be sure that we can see that as a mark of attendance, yet not be given the right to view the figures.

The involvement dots are tremendous--all across ministry areas! And to finally be able to change the status of an entire household is great (or at least be able to change all adults to member status and then all children to child of member status). It helps when so many family are 7 & 8 strong!

Thanks for being willing to change and upgrade continually and for listening!

Good work. I see a lot of comments surrounding the giving view. A great plus. Please do not remove it based on the feedback. A way to address this, which I think was already suggested... is just to default the giving section to be collapsed. Lee Holley
