1 question: The "Giving" information that will display, will you have a specific right set-up for this? For example, I may want the pastoral team to view this information on people's record, but not give them access to all the other "Giving" information. I suggest you have a specific "Giving" right for this view.

HH 2.0 is looking great. Is there a way to view the person's last 5 activities. When we are looking at a person's overall involvement, it would be great if there were a section to see the person's last 5 checkins.

Nice look and feel! It is consistent with other software that we use.

When you were showing the add contact/note feature from the + sign I could hear droning from a lot of our pastors. They all deal with confidential information and this is the ideal location to flag a contact as confidential and enter it into that person’s records without having to send it to themselves and then mark as confidential. I hope I am clear.

Again it looks great!

Not sure where you want comments. I posted on vimeo also.

1. Need vimeo view on whole screen so screen text is readable.

2. On section displays it would be helpful to show down arrow when uncollapsed and right arrow when collapsed. Many systems use this visual techique.

3. It would be very good to save the collapsed/uncollapsed conditions at the portal user login. Then a portal user could set the view they want and have it retained day to day.

If this isn't included, it would be beneficial to use to see the attributes in the overall household view. We utilize attributes in tracking people's journeys and being able to see a quick household overview would be a huge win for us.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! I especially love how you can quickly add notes, contacts, attributes all from that one screen. Is there an option to add an individual to a group from this view?

This is so exciting to see how you are constantly tweaking & improving this product at a rapid pace. I know we made the right decision to switch databases. I can't wait until you make this live.

I like it. I only have one concern. If I'm logged in with Giving rights and I look up a household, then those looking over my shoulder will be able to see Giving records in the household view. Also, I only click on the Giving tab when I really need to. I think having it displayed with the household leads to temptation and curiosity to look up peoples' giving records. I think Giving should remain sectioned exclusively to the Giving tab.

I like to be able to see specific dates and times when I look up activity. We have a call team and they are currently able to look up activity and see the time the child actually check in.

I agree with stacie.gonzalez.

Rarely do I leave my computer open. And nobody has my password, but this does make it very easy for others to see confidential information.

When someone on my staff has a F1 question, I usually ask them to look the portal with me, often over my shoulder or they go through the motions on my computer with me in my office. I could see how this tab could make it easy for "accidents" to happen with confidential information.

However, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the concept!!

What if the default view of the giving area was collapsed in the household view so the details were not readily visible to anyone else who might be standing at your desk? That way, it would be easier to maintain confidentiality yet have easy access to the information.

Curtis you asked if this was a good thing or bad thing. I hope I can explain a little better.

The look and feel is great! This is a “good thing.”

In software once you make something easier and more intuitive to use the user will quickly migrate to a weak link. The weak link for us is contacts which is a sore point with our very busy pastors.

The process of selecting contacts from one very nicely designed page has been made easy and elegant. Once they select to add a contact the old process is invoked. That is, I am assuming the old process is invoked. This is the “bad thing” from our point of view.

What the pastors want to do is nothing more than to enter a confidential contact and post it to the person’s record and be done with it. The current process is to route a simple contact such as “Joe called” to themselves and then enter confidential information and close which is an unnecessary multi step process. They would like a process similar to ACT! or GoldMine which are contact management software systems primarily used in sales and marketing environments.

I hope this answers your question. Probably a lot more than you wanted but I did want to be complete.

@fsoule sounds like you may want to be using our notes instead; there is quite a bit more security and, unlike contacts, isn't meant to represent a task. Hit the "EDUCATION" tab above and it will give you the details.

I've watched all the videos. I think you are headed in the right direction. I love some of the links and navigation tools that you have added. The household view of the giving and attendance is great! We would definitely want to see the volunteer assignments being different from the participant assignments, even on the household level. I love the time line to show me attendance and involvement patterns. That is a huge win!

On the members area, I have two questions, 1.) When you say edit all members, will that allow me to edit their visitors and "others" as well, or only the head, spouse, and kids? 2.) It would be really cool if churches could customize which items show up with the little numbers next to the persons name. Every church is going to want to measure different things. We only use contacts a little, and almost never use notes...(I know, I know, we'll get there.) For us, that information is just clutter. I think each church would prefer to choose the fields they use to measure someone's faith journey. For us, that would be,groups, staff assingments, part. assignments, and giving (on a need to know basis.)

I too have concerns about giving being first and foremost not only because of over the shoulder issues with other staff members, but also our volunteers! I'm afraid they will think the first thing the church cares about is if someone is giving or not. Personally, I think the essentialness of keeping giving details confidential outweighs the convenience of accessibility of a few staff members.

I agree with the others about having giving be collapsed as the default. I sometimes will have people look over my shoulder to show them something - none of our pastors have or want rights to see giving records.

Also, we will eagerly look forward to being able to do actions directly from the search screen - hope that comes soon.

@fsoule it isn't surprising that our notes feature has been a bit... shall we say ignored; we haven't made it easy to submit and view them. We are changing that in a pretty dramatic way here and expect to breathe new life into this valuable feature.

Curtis - With regards to the giving issue raised by stacie.gonzalez about "over the shoulder" viewing of the giving information, I do see the concern and I agree with the concern. In addition even if you have the rights to see the giving, you don't need to look at it unless there is a need. So someone with rights to giving, just wanting to see or update household information might see giving information when they have no need to see it at the moment. I think someone suggested above that the giving section is always be forced closed, so that you have to expand it to see it - everytime - rather than it remembering whether it was last opened or not. I think you need to have that in place at a minimum. An even better (additional) solution would be for F1 to have a portal configuration section under the Admin tab. In that section, a church could turn off or on features - such as even show the giving section in the Household view or not. This way churches can customize sections of the portal to their own church's preference.

Re Giving - I believe you said there are different rights for seeing the giving dots vs rights to see giving dollars. Very few of our people need to have rights to see giving dollars. If we give "giving dollar" rights then the person with those rights must act responsibly in viewing and using. Otherwise we will turn off the right. There are a lot of staff that can benefit by seeing the giving dots. Again if a staff person is not using the information wisely and sensitively we will turn off.

Vertical white space may make things look pleasing. Measure the use carefully as white space forces vertical scrolling and impacts efficiency. The first release needs to have the save collapse/uncollapsed condition as one way to help efficiency.

The only concern I have is the giving information. I know you must have rights, but people do enter your office and could look over your shoulder to view confidential information. Other than that I like having the information available in one space to look as an overview of everything!

I think it looks GREAT!!!! I would like to see if we could also view the Household Contacts under the Contact and Notes section of the Household View. My other real need is to be able to do an update selected in the my tasks screen. When I mail an invitation to an event I have to manually go to each contact and update. I would love to see a mass update that worked like mass close but left the contact open. Thanks for all the great improvements!!!!!

I want to be able to control what is hidden and not in the "More info" field on the right. I think the scroll down feature is helpful for viewing but not for entering data unless the scroll follows field usage when using tab to enter through fields. Along with notes, is it possible to create a recent attributes/assignments in the bottom? It would be nice if they were accessible and editable in the same pane; same with notes. I would like to tab down the fields, entering in information including assignments and notes all in one page of one person.

For collapse view issues I suggest a "settings" page to control what information is included/collapsed in the "more info field" and the main user/household view to control how information is pre-formatted for viewing.

Within the "settings" page make "giving" an add/delete option so that users can define whether or not to make "giving" a default view. All collapsible items should have this functionality that can be controlled by the user and administrator.
