1.

I do not see anyway to access the address and update it, without totally overwriting the current address. Currently, we change an address to ‘previous’ or ‘mail returned/incorrect’ and then enter a new ‘primary’ address – doing this from the Communication page. We do the same with the phone numbers, keeping the previous information for a record history, and then adding the new information as ‘primary’. We have members who have a physical address set up as their ‘secondary’ address and they have a Post Office Box set up as their ‘primary’ address because they do not receive mail at their physical address, but we still need their physical address for home visits from pastoral care. Where do you have this functionality within the new Environment? Where do we have access to all of the ‘communication types’ in the communications area?

2.

In pulling up my personal data it is showing that I have had no attendance for the months of September and October; however, on going into the ‘real-time’ F1, there is attendance for both of these months at a rate of 2 to 4 times per week for various main services and cell group attendance. This is leading me to believe that the information is not being pulled correctly.

3.

As stated, I do like having the option to see all the household and individual information on one screen and I see where that is a plus in many circumstances; however, I believe that with this new view, it is still essential to have access to the same individual pages (Basic, Communications, Attributes, Requirements, Assignments, Activities, Contacts) just as we currently do, in certain circumstances. Where will we be able to access these?

Blessings –

Read over your statements and thought I could contribute to your questions.

1. On an individual you have to click on the Gear (top of page) and then choose “View Household”. Once here, click on “Edit Household” also now on top. From here, you can “Change” the household address and give a second one. The old information does follow to what you change it to.

2.	The data is not completely here, pictures, Ministry Assignment Groups also are not here in the staging area thus attendance will not be either.

3.	Old View/New View Debate. Here is my take on it, change is always hard to adapt to at first. But once you use it daily, the new view will be the easiest way to get information in a one stop look. Instead of an information scavenger hunt as the old view is configured. Coming from a software company and supporting multiple versions with different problems was the biggest headache I had. I think for the sanity of the F1 support team, we’ll want only one type of household interface.

I hope this helps,

My one question at this point, under where you can view activities with staffing assignments and participant assignments. In the overview box under myself, it shows that I will be participating in a group and in ministry, but that doesn't necessarily mean i will actually be attending those events. So I know to take the next step and click on involvement, but that is only current through August, and doesn't show the activities I have done up until today. Results are not accurate, so I will still have to look those up somehow.

The involvement portion I believe it still somewhat confusing. As I said, since it isn't accurate and shows things you will do, for my position, I need to see what you are actually doing to know if you are ready for membership. And I"m so glad you guys left off the giving portion of that that was originally an idea, too many volunteers could have access to that.

And the map function is pretty cool, a little weird to see people's houses, but a quick feature!!

However, I am concerned about the Groups showing up on the right hand side of the individual view.....Member of.... These groups are "People Lists." Sometimes I have people lists that I have created that I don't want to share with the other users of the database. But, all the groups show up even if I have chosen not to share them. Is this how it will be in the real environment? If so, why??? What is the purpose of asking the question "do you want to share this group?" when you first create it, if I can't restrict if from showing up on the individual view?

Could you consider restricting the groups that appear in the "Member of" area to be visible only to the users that the owner of the group chose to share them with?

Some of our attribute lists are very long and scrolling through eeach attribute instead of selecting an attribute group is very cumbersome. We like the wey requirements is set up- will it be possible to do attributes the same way? Otherwise, I think this is a great change and having everything in one view is awesome! Adding attributes is our only consern.

1) We have identified an issue with Internet Explorer where after clicking "Change" next to the primary address, the address type dropdown fails to appear. It behaves correctly using Firefox. This will be corrected prior to a public release. I believe the 2nd part of your first question has to do with security rights; make sure you have 'other' selected in the address edit section.

2) The data is a snapshot copy of data from the live database. When we first released this new functionality into staging, the data hadn't been updated in a while, we have since updated it and it should be 'closer' to reality.

3) We do provide all of the information you mentioned when viewing an individual which is consistent with version 1. When viewing the household, we show a different set of data which includes everything we have in version 1, plus more. We will consider showing more in the future if we hear this need more broadly.

I am assuming that your issue lies with historical attribute groups that are no longer used. If so, disable the attribute group and it will be hidden from the list. If not, please let us know; I believe this could be a troubling area for some of our customers.

The staging environment was great. I have one big request however. On individual view when it has marital status we need to have a place for the anniversary date. This gives us a lot of options to send cards and invitations to fellowships based on age and length of marrage classes.

In the new Household/Individual view, you will be able to enter contacts both ways. If you are entering contacts from communication cards, you will want to first use the people search to find the person. When the search results display, you will click the little "Actions" button beside the individual's name and choose "Enter a contact form". This will take you to the main contact form where you can check off as many contact items as you need to.

However, if you just want to create a quick single contact for a person, you can go directly to the record and add the contact item there as you described in your post.

Hope this helps! Tara Couslon

I've explored the new release in the staging environment and have a couple concerns:

1) When you go in to Edit an Individual, there do not appear to be any options for additional Address Types (i.e. college, secondary, vacation, etc.). There only seems to be a space for a Primary address, which is auto-filled with the Household address. There is no "change" option to make the Primary address a different type. In any case, our concern is this: where are existing addresses for Individuals going to live if not in this space? We certainly do not want to lose that data.

2) Similarly, it seems confusing that the Primary address for the Household is editable on any Individual's page - it would be a lot more clear to users if the Household Address was only editable on the Household Edit page. Otherwise, users might mistake a Household Primary address for an Individual's Primary address - and a Household's address might get lost as a result.

3) Why is there no "Add another" link for addresses like there exists under the Phone, Email and Web fields? On both the Individual and Household Edit pages, there is no option to add an additional address. I understand that after changing a Primary address to a Previous address on the Household Edit page, it brings up a blank field for a new Primary and ONLY a new Primary address. However, what if you want to add a brand new Vacation address belonging to the Household? The only way I see to do this right now in the current system would be to change the Primary address to a Vacation address, cut & paste that info back into the new Primary address fields, and then enter the Vacation address into the space that is now labeled Vacation. Wouldn't it be easier to just bring up a blank field with an Address Type dropdown included?

Thanks,

BH
