Product Updates

Enhancements to the IDEAS tab

On Thursday, February 28th we released some enhancements to the IDEAS tab on the Experience.FellowshipOne.com community site. The changes are:

  • Added support for RichTextEditor when posting a new Idea
  • Added a menu item called “FT Product Ideas”; When clicked it will display only Ideas posted by our Product Management team
  • Added ability for our Product Management team to enter an “official FT comment” to an Idea
  • Added ability for our Product Management team to close an idea if we release an update to Fellowship One that addresses the proposed Idea
  • Added a menu item called "Ideas Closed" to view the list of ideas closed by Product Management
  • Add a new default sort order for the list of Ideas called “Buzz” that is an weighted average of Date Posted, Date Last Praised, Date Last Commented, and Date Last Viewed
  • Added ability to search only within the Ideas section

I do appreciate the new "buzz" sort option in the ideas tab, however, I still prefer that my default view be "most recent".  I would like to see the ability to set our own default sort option.

Thanks for the enhancements. As an additional opportunity for improvement, I would like to see all the ideas that have a common thread consolidated. If you dig into the categories, many ideas are new, but a lot of them are recycled with a different spin. By consolidating the ideas that have a common thread, this would help us users paint a better picture to F1 of the ideas, frustrations, and etc… that we would like to see in future releases. This would also consolidate the praise point system that you use to rank future enhancements. For example: I have a post called “User Inactivity Time-Out”. When I posted the idea, I did not realize that there were several other posts with the same frustration. My post has 225 praise points. The other two posts have 775 and 520 respectively for a total 1520 points (at the time of this post). By putting these posts together this will give a truer picture of what the hot button issues and requests are.
