Fellowship One Release - May 7, 2009

We are pleased to announce a release that sets the foundation for some future changes with groups; you will notice some slight changes with people lists along with an additional feature in the individual detail view. To learn about this enhancement, please download the release notice.

After having used the new features for groups, I have to say I feel that some of the changes have been a major step backwards. While I like that I can see more info on the people in my groups, the application has become much less user friendly.  Examples:

1.  "Email Group" function no longer exists so that I have to "select all", then "actions", then "send email"

Suggestion:  please restore the "email group" option

2.  Adding and removing access and rights to my groups is much more difficult now that I have to scroll through every portal user name  to add or change access.

Also, if you have a large number of portal users, by the time you scroll to the bottom of the list, you can loose track of which circle represents "manager", "viewer" or "none" (headers)

Suggestion: add search option at top similar to one used to search for name of a group member.

I don't know if anyone else has been running into similar issues, but we are struggling with this enhancement.

Thanks,

Debbie Newell

I would like to see us be able to limit access to group email to only the ministry that the portal user has access to.  When we met with fellowship one leaders six months ago, this was where you were headed with groups.  Is this still correct?

Not loving the new gorup feature! It was more "one stop shopping" before!

I would agree that the group function was more user-friendly than now, it's too many names to scroll through to give permissions...
