Just wondering if anyone else out there would think it a high priority item to be able to add in a family picture to the household information.  This would be handy for family directories or just to see at a glance who all goes together, makes it easier than getting individual pictures sometimes too.

 

The tech support team said there have only been a few others who have asked this question.

 

Anybody else interested? 

I've already suggested this and been told that they have placed it on the roadmap for development. So it is coming down the line, just not sure how far down the line.

I worked with a church recently that did something interesting to accomodate household photos. They placed the household picture in the Head of household photo image. To create a directory, they first made a people list of all Heads of household from Query Builder (Individual Information >> Household Member Type >> Equal To >> Head). You could also add another query statement for Status Group as well (to just pull Members or Attendees). Once the people list was saved, they used A1033 - People List Directory with Multiple Options to create a directory.

I read somewhere in the forum F1 was looking at making the Family Photo horizontal. How soon is this planned for implementation? This would be a big help as most family photo's are horizontal. Now we have to go in to our archive of photos with photoshop and enlarge the Canvas (but not the image)

I am also unclear on the image file size limitations. The upload screen says 204kb files are allowed. However several instructions say 15kb and I got an error message uploading a 25k file once, but not always. One of the main justifications for buying F1 was to produce our photo directory and fo that we need higher resolution images. I have been getting around this by making the resolution 270x360 but making the jpeg settings down to 3 or 4

 

Our church has been asking the same question since we starting using F1 - over a year. We have not put out a directory - via pdf format since we went to F1. They keep telling me enough people have to "praise" the idea for it to move up the list.

Like you my concern isn't so much for a printed directory as the ability in F1 to see the family. Many times that is the only way we have of know which parents and children belong together.

It amazes me that after 3 years people have not complained enough about not having the ability to have a family picture in the Household slot. Why even have the picture there when you can't use it effectively. 

 

I'm not clear what your looking for exactly. Fellowship One does support associating a family photo on the household view. You can do it one at a time or in a batch. Check out AnswerID 48 in the Support tool. If you're looking for something different, could you please clarify and I'll track down the answer.
