    What are Job Attribute Groups?

We are new to Fellowship One.  We have taken most of the training courses and are now populating the various support tables within the system.

When I took the Administrator 2 course it talked about Job Attributes and Job Attribute Groups.  In going back to my notes, it appears that I took poor notes regarding Job Attributes/Groups.

Could someone suggest to me some example Job Attribute Groups and associated Job Attributes so that I can get an idea of how they might be used.  I realize everyone "does church" a bit differently, but some examples would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Re: What are Job Attribute Groups?

Dynamic Church needs a way to track the types of jobs available for volunteers. Their goal is to provide several "basic" jobs, some "medium" jobs, and a few "advanced" jobs for each ministry. The "basic", "medium", and "advanced" types are determined by the requirements that must be met before a person can volunteer for an activity.

    • Basic - few requirements are needed to volunteer in these positions. Anyone is welcome to volunteer. Great place to start assimilating visitors into the church by getting them involved in a basic volunteer position that requires nothing to start volunteering except the desire to help.

    • Medium - a few requirements must be met before a person can volunteer in these positions. He or she is a regular attender, has some special skill, and has the desire to commit more time to volunteering at the church.

    • Advanced - several requirements must be met before a person can volunteer in these positions. He or she is a regular attender or a member, has special skills, is committed to volunteering, and possibly has had a background check or reference checks completed.

Dynamic Church would like to run reports for each ministry to ensure the number of basic level jobs is more than the number of medium and advanced jobs.

Create a Job Attribute Group called Job Types. Create attributes for this group called Basic, Medium, and Advanced. Each time a job is created within a ministry, the appropriate attribute is associated with that job.

    Thank you
