    test environments

We are pretty new to F1 and something we are having a little bit of difficulty with is the no delete options.... I think overall this is a good feature meant to protect us the end user from accidentally deleting something and really doing harm to the database.

So my question is this. Is anyone using some kind of system to test something before it is pushed out.... To make sure things are set up right before you click go, or to test a check in setup before it is set in stone, etc...

I aksed the same thing when first starting with this and at this point there is not a test environment. However, I was told that you could use some naming conventions that support could go in on request and remove for you - such as names starting with zzz, etc...

I personally think this is needed for new users and for testing "what ifs"...

    Re: test environments

I have asked about a test/practice version of F1 but one is not available at this time. I would like to be able to have our staff and volunteers practice adding households, setting up activities and weblink forms without having to go in and merge or delete these records. The staging environment is great but it's only available when new functionality is about to be released. I hope that having access to the staging environment on an on-going basis is something that would be considered in the very near future.
