    Hospital Visitations

How does your church track hospital visitations?

    • Congregation members that are in the hospital
    • Their status (don't foget about Ted Kennedy's HIPAA)
    • Which pastor has visited
    • Notes associated with the visit

    Re: Hospital Visitations

When someone is in the hospital, if we find out about it we usually make a note in F1 and then assign a pastor to visit.  After the initial visit, we (obviously on a case by case basis) pass it on.

We have a congregational care team to pass it on to.

The lead of the team owns a business and is always available.  They mobilize their team and send cards, flowers, and do follow up on the person in the hospital.

Ideally, this team reports to the care team pastor weekly and the information is updated in F1 notes.

It isn't a fail-proof method, but it seems to be working so far.

    Re: Hospital Visitations

We would like to do something to this effect as well.  However, I was thinking something along the lines of using "Contacts" to do it.  My question is then, is there a way to designate followup & tasks (Contact Items: Route To:) to more than one person? (I can only figure out how to select one person at a time.)

Our church has a number of individuals who follow up with prayer requests, hospital visits, etc. and it would be very helpful if a request comes in that it could be entered as a contact and routed to those pastors, giving responsibility for one of them to close it.

I'd rather do it this way, than through an individual's "Notes".  Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this more efficiently?

    sbreitenbach,

Did you ever get an answer to this questions?  I am working on our Followup Process and would like to be able to assign more than one person to a contact.

     Thanks!
