    Slowdown on Monday mornings

    Has anyone else noticed a huge slowdown of F1 on Monday mornings? Just about every Monday our Finance team comes to me asking if there is something wrong with the network because the performance of our check scanning stations degrades so much. There are no other slowdowns other than check scanning and access to the F1 website. All other sites come up with no problem. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this same issue.

    Rob -

     we've had this issue at times - sometimes it IS our system and sometimes it is not.  And sometimes we manage to get through a Monday morning with no issues whatsoever.  We just assume it happens at times because it's internet based, our previous software was in-house so we didn't have the problem.

    We have experienced it on a somewhat regular basis,  It's almost sort of an inside joke.  I've been in IT roundtables where ppl ask what they don't like a bout F1 and everyone yells "Monday"!

     We have increased our Web bandwidth to help and will probably do that again shortly.  I recommend using the speed test on the status tab both when you are really slow and at normal times to establish some sort of bandwidth benchmark to help evaluate it consistently.  Fellowship Tech also has equipment now where they can trace your packets all the way from you to them and back to see if there are consistent problem spots in the route those packets take.  It's not guaranteed to help
    but it may and I plan on taking advantage of it going forward.

    The orginal post to this topic was a little over a year ago, we've had numerous upgrades to our hardware and bandwidth since then. It's true that Monday is our heaviest load of any day of the week. As Sheldon noted, we you can now track our performance on the STATUS tab and test the speed to/from (upload/download) from our servers in Dallas, TX. If you're having any issues on Mondays please contact our Support department. We also have a great new tool called Coradiant that can help us analyze your specific traffic to/from our servers.
