    Paradise [ip] Mac Users

Have any of you "mac users" experienced problems when running a report using specific requests on the report such as the refresh box where you may enter sub-funds or assimilation contact info or the date box? Is there something I need to download so my mac will be Fellowship One friendly? Thanks for your help

Do you have an example (the report #) of a report that you are having problems with??  I use a mac, and haven't experienced any problems.

    Re: Mac Users

Our environment is completely Macintosh, and it seems to be that we are the only church out there with this environment that uses F1.  However, one thing I have noticed is that you shouldn't use Safari.  I have recommended that all employees use Firefox when accessing Fellowship One.  Safari fails in the report area quite often because it was made for speed and probably doesn't support all the high-end javascript functionality that the report section uses.

    Re: Mac Users

We have a number of Mac-only churches as customers, one of which has been a customer since 2004. Currently the HTML markup we use in some older areas of the application breaks when using Safari so we currently only support FireFox on Macintosh. However, all new code is being tested on Safari as well. It will take some time to work our way through all of the display issues with the older code so in the interim please use FireFox. If you are experiencing any specific issues on Mac/FireFox please contact our Support department and we will look into the issues right away.

We also use Mac's and I ran into a problem returning records from a search when using Safari.  Problem solved when using Firefox...  which is a shame, but I have experienced 'Safari Weirdness' before.

I really would love to see F1 work better in Safari.  It's my default browser and I only still use IE7 for F1.

    Re: Mac Users

All new development is being tested with Safari, FireFox and IE. However, given the breadth of our application it may take some time before we sweep through all of the older areas for compliance with Safari. We currently recommend FireFox over IE on both the PC and Mac. However, whether we like it or not, IE 6.x / 7.x still accounts for roughly 65 - 70% of our page views. Now IE 8.x is coming so just one more thing to test! We love the browser wars.

    Re: Mac Users

    Curtis,

We are a mixed shop of Windows and Mac users. I know FT is continuing to work on ensuring that pages properly render on the different platforms and with the different browsers; but I also know that I continue to find pages (older pages as you mentioned) that render correctly in IE on Windows, but do not render correctly on the Mac. In the past (last summer/fall), I have reported them as problems to our sales person, delivery manager and support; but I got the impression of "we are working on it and you don't need to tell us all the pages that are not working". Was that an incorrect impression and should we be reporting all the page problems to support or what?
