event registration discount per number of sign up

    Hello all,

I searched the forums and did not find any ideas on how to discount the number of signup per family with a particular event.

i.e.  -- A family with 4 kids wants to sign up for an event and we would like to give them a discount for the 2nd or more kids.  The only way I can see to discount is by percent or dollar discount of the original cost. Using the percent method would have to be against total cost and require multiple promo codes for each of the numbers above the first.

Has anyone found an easier way ?

     Thanks,

    Bob.A

Hey Bob, Although not the best option, we had them signup with a drop down for number of children with a box to list the children's names, particularly because we have had parents signup nieces and nephews for the event that are not in F1. Then, that drop down box controls the price (1 child is $20, 2 children is $30, 3 children is $40, etc.).

    Bob,

I would agree with Matt.  The best way to do this is to use the drop down options in the Weblink.  You can either use one answer with multiple options as Matt suggested or have room for up to 4 different kids to be registered using one drop down that says Register 2nd child with a price of $20 then have places for name/details for the second child.  Then Register 3rd child with a price of $10 then name/detail information slots.
