Is there a way to create an online Volunteer Application in F1 that allows the potential volunteer to answer questions created by us?  For example:

"What skills do you have that would make you a good fit for children's ministries?"

There are two ways to gather potential volunteer information from your website; the Volunteer Application for the Volunteer Pipeline and using WebLink forms. 

You can only specify questions asked to the volunteer's references using the Volunteer Application.  When using the volunteer application, pay special attention to the Volunteer Opportunities Requirements panel.  Check off the reference check requirement.  This will give you an option to write any specific questions you would like your volunteer coordinator to ask the potential volunteer's references.  You can ask them about skills and demeanor, etc..

If you want the applicant to answer questions themselves, you can do so through a WebLink form.  Create the question in the Questions Panel.  I would recommend adding yourself or volunteer coordinator to the Cc line or Bcc line of the Confirmation message so you are notified whenever someone fills this out.  If you use the WebLink form, the candidate will not be entered into the Volunteer Pipeline automatically.

We have built out our Volunteer Interest forms & attached a Weblink form to gather more information like is suggested here.  The result has been a clunky process that is not found to be user friendly by most of our attendees at our church.  This is an area that is ripe for enhancement by Fellowship One.  Does anyone have any other ideas to manage this volunteer intake process?

We tried to use the Form Builder in F1 to gather more information but it timed out in 20 min whether they were typing in it or not.  Also, people had to create an account to use it which became a barrier to potential new volunteers.  We decided to use Wufoo form builder for our serving forms.  They have a secure form builder and it is super easy to set up and use.  Here is an example of one that we use for our Children's Ministry https://shorelineart.wufoo.com/forms/volunteer-serving-form-childrens-ministry/?GXHC_gx_session_id_FutureTenseContentServer=4b4a243f27e022ef

Once we receive the serving form then we add them into the pipeline.  It works great!
