Our church is actively in the implementation process.  Has anyone considered making the training sessions from webex available as a downloadable file or on DVD?  I have had no luck watching them personally on my macbook and not everyone is likely to sit infront of their desktop/laptop screen for 30-60 minutes at a time, but we can all sit on a couch for an hour and watch a dvd.

 

Just food for thought.

Hi Erik,

You bring up some great points; we are currently working on recreating all recordings (without a live audience). These recordings are being created using Camtasia Studio 5 by TechSmith and then converted to Flash (we are also working toward making them downloadable to iTunes, and then you will be able to watch on your iPod or via Apple TV!).  

Topic specific videos (about 2 – 5 minutes in length) are being added to the help window for each screen in F1 (this is an ongoing project). These short videos will then be bundled into 30 – 45 minute chaptered class videos (chaptering will allow you to quickly access to topics you need without viewing the entire class).

The Add Household video is excellent.  This is the right solution.  We always have new portal users.  I can see where we can design a phased training for the new users so they can start successfully and grow in their understanding and usage of the system.  The 8 min training on managing contacts is very good.  Please move that over to this or link the current one.
