Hi - We have some families in our church where the parents are divorced and they both attend our church. The kids are under both parents, meaning duplication within the system, yet different addresses.....what is the best way to not have duplicate individuals but still keep the information correct on the kids?

Would it be to pick one address and place it as a secondary, should it be through the custodial parent? Any thoughts on the best way to handle this....

Hi Gail,

We ask the parents to pick one household and recommend that they share a barcode. We use secondary address and add a note in the comment section, individual note/confidential note depending upon the circumstances and we also add the other parent as an authorized pick up person.
