I had a quick question to see how others handled this situation. My church currently has 3 services for kids. Rather than have "kids worship" as an activity and a 9:30, 11:00 and 12:30 schedule, we actually have three separate activities, each with one schedule. I assume that this was set up this way (I just got here) was because our third service is much smaller than the other two. We use 1/3 the number of rooms and what may be a room for 2 year olds during our first two services is a room for 2-4 year olds during the 3rd service. By separating into three separate activities, we set up the way we'll use rooms for services with different attendances. So that makes sense to me.
However, is this the best way to do this? It seems to me that the most efficient way for both setting up multiple services and reporting on them would be to create multiple schedules around one activity. Is there a way that I could have just one activity with multiple schedules that takes into account that we use fewer rooms during one service.
Side note: For clarificaion in my situation, I have enough kids that some of our nursery rooms are divited by 6 month increments. So simply having kids check into the "twos" may not be a solution (the twos in one service may check into one room and antoher room for the smaller service) as I could have 24-29 month olds in one room and 30-35 month olds in another room.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
