Question re Scanner set up via USB port

    Question re Scanner set up via USB port

    I have a Magtek check scanner that we are trying to connect to a laptop via a USB port.  The scanner has serial cable so I am hoping an USB adapter will do the trick.  Has anyone successfully done this using a serial to USB adapter? 

     I worry that the F1 software will not allow it to work.
