Can F1 write the WebLink Forms to be true CSS instead of using CSS mixed with HTML (see example)?

Because you've hard-coded styles, height, width, etc, it makes editing the CSS very difficult. All of those items can be coded into one CSS file.

Simpler "create account" form for wide area registrations?

We often have events at our church that bring people from other churches who do not wish to provide (and we don't want) all the detail asked for on the standard "create account" form. Is there another "create account" form that would allow people to log in and register for an event without us asking for information only required for our church folks?

Double Assignments

We started online Awana registration this summer, and it seems to be working fine from the users' end. My problem is that the form is creating TWO activity assignments. For instance, a child's participant assignment looks like this:

Schedule/Time: Awana Clubs; Form Name: Awana Registration 2009-2010

Schedule/Time: (blank); Form Name: Awana Registration 2009-2010 - Kindergarten - Sparks

If I remove ONE of the assignments, they BOTH go away. I checked my form carefully and can't find any reason for a double assignment. Does anyone have a solution for me?

Joomla Authentication Plugin

Here is something of interest to you guys... I wrote a Joomla 1.5.x authentication plugin for F1. You can get it Download it Here

Just login to the Joomla admin interface, select go to Extensions->Install/Uninstall then browse to the zip file and upload. Once installed you need to enter your church code(weblink church code) and a user that has data exchange permissions.

If you use the Joomla login module, this will allow you to login using an F1 weblink account... so you see what possiblities this gives you.

Determine if User is already logged in?

I am trying to figure out how to integrate this into my EE CMS web site. Currently I just have a web page setup with javascript buttons. What I would like is to have the page determine if the user is logged in and if so do not show the login button.

I read that FSO uses url parameter called iCode once the user is logged in but since it is opening up a window, that does not show up.

Syncing Activity Finder With Contact Item

Here's what I'm trying to do: when someone chooses a small group or a focus group through the online small group finder, fills out their information, and makes a request, I want that contact to show up in "My Tasks".

So far, no luck. Here's what I've done:

Created list of small groups and life groups with all the pertinent info in the activity section.

I checked the box that asks whether or not I want this activity to be found in the small group finder and have routed the item to a contact item that would notify me.

I selected the small group finder module link and put the small group ministry in. I'm not sure if I did this one right. Should I select "activity" instead of "ministry"?

I made sure that the selected contact item is set up with the appropriate routes and items.

However, every time i test it, I get no notice in "My Tasks". The tests show up in the duplicate finder but that's it. What am I leaving out or doing wrong?

Small Groups - Activity Finder Question

My small groups pastor would like to have a single link from our website that would then list all available small groups to the end user.

Does anyone know of a link to use to be able to do this?

Instead of having to load the Activity Finder then select small groups from the pull-down list then click the Search button.

He has been looking at another product "Church Teams" for small group management and they have this feature.

Best way to setup Growth Classes for online registration?

We have just started using weblink. We would like to offer online registration for our Sunday Morning Growth Classes. What is the best way to set this up - An activity or a small group? The classes are based on a schedule and people need to be able to pick which service they are taking the class. I wasn't sure if I needed to create a registration form for this or use activity finder? Any guidance would be appreciated.

F1 and an online shop!?!

We've been using the weblink/online payment facilities of F1 to sell Sunday message CDs, our Band EP, and a few bits and pieces, but it's obviously not designed for this as you have to select your name after login before selecting your item and paying for it - rather confusing for the new user I think!

We're now expanding to more merchandise/items that we want to sell through our website so are looking at a 'shop' - we want people to be able to select items, put in a virtual basket and go to a checkout - but it brings up lots of issues because how would a shop work with F1?

Firstly, is anyone developing a shop as a bolt on to be compatible with F1? That would be amazingly incredible! If there's nothing like that now or to come in the nearish future, then the shop would have to be separate, but then you are surely ending up with two databases, people would have to have two logins – one for the shop and another for F1 features such as event registration? How would that ever work? It doesn't sound like a road I want to go down! Or at least is there some way of data exchanging the shop information into F1 if it's in a certain format? (Although the login issue still seems unavoidable - but PayPal is an option perhaps!?)

I've been searching on the web looking at what other churches are doing but can't find any real answers, so any ideas, help, suggestions, feedback concerning would be great!

Changing Funds after WebLink Submission & Payment

Hi Fellowship One Friends! :)

We're a two-campus church in the middle of VBS (holy craziness is what I like to call it). We've had our kids reigister for VBS online (with payment) and as a whole, it has been great. We do have a couple instances of people registering (and paying) for Campus #1 when they meant to register for Campus #2.

We have 2 different forms and associated them with 2 different sub funds (one for each campus). If I go in and remove their registration/assignment for Campus #1 and re-register them for #2, it leaves the fee in Campus #1's subfund. Do you have any ideas/best practices on how to deal with this?

We were thinking of:

- Removing their assignment/registration from Campus #1

- Issuing them a refund for the first fee (which would remove the fee from Campus #1's sub fund)

- Calling them and re-registering them for Campus #2 over the phone (entering in all credit card information), which would put the fee in the correct campus' subfund.

It sounds a little round-about to me, because they'll see the original fee, a refund, and then a second fee in their bank statement...but not sure how else to handle it.

Any better ideas?

Down Payments/No Payment Option for Weblink Forms

The recent update that removed the $0 down payment option has really hurt us in using Weblink Forms for a couple of our ministries. We run all of our registrations through Weblink, including those that are submitted in paper form and those submitted over the phone. For the ones submitted over the phone, the parent will be sending in a check. But, in order to have an accurate number of registrations, we need to get the forms entered. What we would do is put the down payment option of $0 in the form to help us with this issue.

The only option I can think of now is to put a promo code for 100% discount. The only problem with that is once the promo code is entered, the entire form will need to be removed and reentered in order to post the payment.

Any ideas??????? We're in a HUGE mess!

Linking to F1 Aggregate Forms

Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to the F1 system, and I'm having a little trouble trying to link to our F1 aggregate forms.

I just walked onto the scene here as webmaster, and my first attempt to link to an aggregate form was pretty basic: I just created a simple jpg button, linked to the URL that F1 generated for the specific aggregate form. Unfortunately, while the button-link correctly took you from our site to the F1 login, the login process would only return errors - even when correct login data was being entered.

Am I completely backwards in attempting to link to the forms in the way I mentioned? Is there a specific protocol that needs to be followed to correctly link to these aggregate forms?

If anyone could shed some light on this or point me towards a relevant thread, I'd be very grateful!

Online Youth Registration-Medical Waivers

I am curious as to what most of the rest of you are doing with medical release forms. Specifically when it involves an offsite youth event which would require this release as part of the registration process. Are the electronic signatures being used making it a total online registration process? Or are churches concerned about any legal issues and printing out a hard copy to be signed.

We are trying to set up online registration forms for a summer camp.... we have a fee of $25. We want to have the first child in a family pay the $25 and $20 for subsequent children. Any suggestions on the best way to set this up.

I was givien a great idea about setting a header up giving a promo code once the registration process is done for the first child. I'm wnodering if anyone else has some insight?

Reaffirmation of Membership

Last year, our church voted to require an annual reaffirmation of membership from its members.

So, this year we have the task of implementing that change and accomodating the record keeping.

Can anyone conceive of how we could do this with F1 using Weblink?

We would like to have an attribute set or status made upon completion of a form, but I cannot see how this would be possible with any of the form combinations available.

I have been able to create an event registration form that logs an answer to the question of "Do you wish to reaffirm your membership for 2009?" and registers them in the "2009 Membership Affirmation" event. However, that would require us to go in, based on their answer, and set an attribute or status.

Anyone doing anything like this? Can you offer some ideas?

We have a semi-annual multi-day mission trip with 70 - 90 people attending. I am looking for recommendations for setup using WebLink.

Price covers meals and accommodations based on 3 different options (Hotel Registration, RV Registration, and High School Student Registration):

PRICES:
-Down Payment $Amt: $50.00
-Cost Per Room (first person in family to register): $ 175
-Cost Per Additional Person in each room: $25
-Cost (Per HS Student): $80
-RV Cost (Per Person): $40
-No Promo Codes (...so far)

CONFLICTING NEEDS:
-For additional people staying in a room: we will (ultimately) need name/address/phone number/e-mail addresses. However...
-Many (not all) people sharing rooms will be family members, sharing same address, phone, email. (would like to avoid forcing every individual to register individually, and/or enter family data 2-4 times).

REPORTS: Ultimately we will need names and counts of people by group (Hotel, RV, HS Students), counts of rooms (inside or outside of F1), room assignments (inside or outside F1), verification of signed liability forms, payment history, and rosters with cell phone numbers for the drive.

Interested in your F1 WebLink recommendations.
