Asset Tag in Self Check-in Mode?

Maybe we're just missing it but we've been running check-in with key tags for the past couple of weeks. Apparently (I'm not typically around the check-in station) there is no option to print an asset tag when the kiosk is in self check-in mode. Is this true? If not, is there a setting that needs to be switched to enable it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Check-in Report

I would like to be able to run a report of active check-in's. Is this something I can do. I know I can login into the FO website and see them under ministry and then active check-in's but I want to run a report for each class so they know who is checked in and who is not, this will also help with check out. any suggestions on what report I should run?

SOS Labels Needed for our Zebra Checkin Printers

SOS! We ordered labels from Dell and they sent us the wrong ones! We have partial rolls that will not get us through this Sunday's service. We have been unable to get the correct labels through Dell. Are there any churches in driving distance from Arlington TX that we might be able to borrow a case of labels for THIS SUNDAY? We are very desparate at this point and could use any help that we can get. I really appreciate your help.

Family/Household Picture

Just wondering if anyone else out there would think it a high priority item to be able to add in a family picture to the household information. This would be handy for family directories or just to see at a glance who all goes together, makes it easier than getting individual pictures sometimes too.

The tech support team said there have only been a few others who have asked this question.

Birthdays without a year

We know the birthdays of many of our congregation but we do not know the years they were born. I am thinking many of the women want to keep it that way.

As a ministry, we like to celebrate our members' birthdays, and I can always keep an extra list, but I was hoping there would be a way to enter the person's birthday without a year so that I could eventually pull a report for November Birthdays with participant assignments in our ministry.

I am fairly new to this whole thing, but I haven't been able to figure this one out.

Any ideas?

Small Group Leaders Frustrated With Manager Web Interface

My small group leaders want me to "fix it". They can't believe that they can see the "home phone" on their screens, but not the mobile phones. They laugh because hardly anyone we minister to actually still has a "home phone". We end up putting one member of the family's mobile number as the "home phone". But then that person gets frustrated because the small group leaders for the whole family keep calling that one person's cell number.

The small group leaders stare at me in disbelief as I try to explain that F1 will eventually correct this huge, yet seemingly simple, hole.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I searched the experience site, and found that many people had posted about this problem. Often in the "ideas" section. However, I wasn't able to find any "official" response from Fellowship Tech.

Groups 2.0 Released

It's a crazy time of year and our ministries are wondering if Groups 2.0 is coming so they can start the year off right. I told them "shortly" a few months ago but haven't really heard anything. I also heard that Groups 2.0 has already been released to selected churches for betaing. Can we get on that list?

Deleting Temporary Groups Prior to 3 Day Period

Is there a way we can delete an existing Temporary Group prior to the 3 day period? I didn't see a way to delete it, and having it in the list of available groups to email could pose a problem if we accidentally chose that group instead of our intended group.

How do I view all of the households &/or all of the individuals in my church? In the "people tab" I can search for individuals, but I simply want to see the master list of all folks (and households) entered into my database.

How do I do that?

Sunday Check-ins are 1 week ahead. Why?

Can anyone shed light on why our children's ministry check-ins have been getting logged one week ahead of the actual date? For example, all the kids who were checked in last Sunday (8/2) now show Involvement in our children's program on 8/9. This started happening a couple weeks back. I don't oversee the check-in process, but I am our F1 Champion (blows horn) so I'm trying to dig deeper in to this.

Best Practices for Launching Key Tags

We'll be launching key tags in the coming weeks. We have scanners and we have the key tags already made. Each family will be getting a set of 2 key tags (clear media group) with identical barcode values. So, each family gets one barcode.

How do we assign a key tag set to a family? Is there an easy way that we can integrate this in to the check-in process over the next couple of weeks? I'm really hoping we don't have to go through beforehand and assign the barcode value to each household before handing them out ... then we have to track/label the key tags and sort through them in order to hand them out.

I'm interested to know how others have rolled out key tags. Tips, tricks, suggestions, etc.

Has anyone used PlanningCenteronline.com? It’s made for churches, and I have a few people within our staff that insists we use it. We’re new to F1 and I was hoping to just use fellowship. F1 has planning features in it too, but some of our staff is set with the fact that the other system will make their lives easier. I’m not too familiar with Planningcenteronline, but I was hoping if you’re using F1 to schedule your ministries, track volunteers and events, could you help me explain to my fellow staff, why sticking with F1 would be easier for all of us?

What symbology is used for the bar code key tags?

I know that our church uses the laminated key tags for check-in. I also know of the "trick" of using the outside bar codes from attendees that already have a key tag from their local gym or grocery store...within the max character limit specified by F1. What is the symbology used? Or how many are of the various symbologies are supported?

I ask because I would like to print stickers or labels as an alternative to the key tag. I currently have the 3 of 9 or 39 barcode font and I know it looks nothing like the barcode I have for my personal key tag.

Payment Installments for Event Registration

We are gearing up for our Fall DTS. It's a year long class where students can pay quartly or one time up front. We want to have Event Registration be the only place where students can enroll and pay. Is there a way to make payments in installments instead of Full or Half? We were thinking 4-6 installments throughout the year. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Events on Church Website?

We are working on a good way to display complete event/activities information on the church web site that is being entered in F1. How is anyone else doing this? We want to display all related info about an event, including the building/room and the ministry linked to the event. I have not found a comprehensive report that shows all of this.

We would rather not duplicate all of the info external to F1 and want to utilize the Outlook-like recurring scheduling that the activities allows.

Thoughts?

Combining names on labels

How do you handle the situation where you want to send a letter to multiple children in the same family? Say I'm running labels for the enitire youth ministry and Sarah Jones is in Sr High and Susie is in Jr High. Now I want to print a label ( or envelope) to Sarah and Susie Jones. Actually, I want the label to read "To the Parent's of" on the first line and the girls (combined) following. By running the labels or envelopes through the printer twice, I can accomplish the "To The Parent's of" thing, but not how to combine the family names. F1 support has simply said that I can't do that! Anybody have any ideas?

I was looking for more info on two session I missed at dc09, and they happen to both be two that do not include notes! Is there anyone who went who might be able to share? I am looking for more info on the "More than just a Rolodex" and "Pastors: What Can I Do in 3 Clicks?"

I am trying to put together some 10-20 minute training times for our pastoral staff to help them better utilize F1, and think these two would be very helpful to start with. I'm open for other ideas if anyone has an other training paths or topics they would be willing to share.
