the LP-2844Z is also known as direct thermal as it uses no ribbon to print onto the label. Fellowship One uses the LP-2844Z model as we print only in black.
the TLP-2844Z is also known as transfer thermal and uses a ribbon to transfer the heat onto the label allowing you to print in color. it costs more than the LP model.
