    Address Verification Causing Problems

I have noticed that when I make changes to an address in the new household view, the system verifies the address and gives it a green check mark. This is a great feture I'm sure because it checks with the USPS and makes sure the address is legitimate. However, I am noticing that because of verification we are losing box or apartment numbers. They just disappear after you hit the "save" button. It's usually just the low numbers like 1, 2, or 3. Has anyone else noticed this?

I think this has to do with addresses that are not registered with USPS as having sub-addresses (apt., box, unit, etc).  You can't even have the box number on the address 2 line.

Is there a support ticket on this?

Yes, I had a support ticket, but it has been closed with a work-around.

You have to add the information in the "Old View" to get it to stick.

Looking back on tickets that were posted through our church, we submitted a ticket on this as well.

This is the type of issue that would be nice to have listed under the new Status Tab. Here's the issue, here's the workaround. Seems like it would be more efficient to post than having all the churches submitting tickets on the same issue receiving the same response . . .

    Re: Address Verification Causing Problems

Unfortunately this has been happening to us a lot too here in Canada.  It changes some addresses we enter to US ones, if it finds the littlest thing that matches a US address.  The only way I can get it to stick is using the Old view.  I want the whole verification thing turned off for us. I was told there was a glitch and they are working on it...

    Re: Address Verification Causing Problems

    Hi Debbie / Jill,

I have verified with our Product Development team that we intend to fix both issues related to the Address Verification. If you have a support incident on the related items, our new Development Coordinator process will ensure you receive a response once the incident has been fixed/released. It is my hope that we tighten this new process down so that you have visibility into the stages of the release (is a Developer working on the particular issue as of right now, has it been fixed and released to Quality Assurance, has it passed Quality Assurance as a release candidate, if so, when is it scheduled to be released).

I still think your idea for our status tab is great and like I indicated earlier, I will certainly take that under advisement and see if we can incorporate such a mechanism that would be visible to you all.

    God Bless,

    Lance
