An online application would be convenient, however, not the best choice for us. For three reasons:
- First, most of the people who fill out forms on Weblink do not format their information correctly which means we must go in afterwards and fix the information they gave us.
- Second, most of the people who become members were already attending the church and filling out a form in Weblink would create a duplicate record if they did not already create a Weblink account.
- Third, to get a Membership Application you must first attend a Membership Class. When we receive the application we update the individual's personal information and Status then upload the paper application into the individual's requirements (Membership is a requirement for most of our ministries).
I would be interested to here what your Membership process is. We are always looking for ways to improve.
