• Re: Small Group Leaders Frustrated With Manager Web Interface

Wow. OK. So I guess I didn't even realize that groups 2.0 was going to change anything about small group manager. That's great. Sounds like it will be a total overhaul. Hopefully soon.

  • Re: Small Group Leaders Frustrated With Manager Web Interface

Yep, that's what we are doing too -- and you're right, it's better than having no numbers at all. However, that means that the small group leaders still only see one number. So when ''Jane's'' small group leader calls the ''home'' number, the leader always reaches ''John'' -- who may be at work or not with his wife. John gets ...

  • Small Group Leaders Frustrated With Manager Web Interface

My small group leaders want me to ''fix it''. They can't believe that they can see the ''home phone'' on their screens, but not the mobile phones. They laugh because hardly anyone we minister to actually still has a ''home phone''. We end up putting one member of the family's mobile number as the ''home phone''. But then ...

  • Re: Using "Relationships" thru F-1

It would be great to have the whole solution reported here on the forum for the benefit of the community.

  • Re: Assignments vs. Attendance

That's an interesting problem. If you needed to email or send a letter to everyone who is in a particular group, how would you do that without assignments?

  • Re: F1 Support

Thanks for posting the tip! I do that as well. I always use notepad to remove the line breaks before posting into Wordpress (our CMS). It took me some trial-and-error to figure that one out too! :) However, that hasn't seemed to solve this problem with our aggregate form.

  • Re: F1 Support

Thanks Jeff, I was really hopeful after reading your post, but alas....it didn't work. I went back to the aggregate form, which I had recently updated to add new individual forms to, and I re-copied the link and re-posted it into our web site. No luck. Registering for some events on the aggregate form works, ...

  • Re: F1 Support

Thank you for suggesting a workaround! Yes -- I agree that will work. I'm going to make that change on the web site tomorrow morning. I didn't realize that all the invidivual forms were working, earlier it seemed that they were not. Since the individual event forms work, then I will remove the aggregate form and use the individual ...

My most recent post to one of our open support tickets: Customer (Josh Jenkins) 04/01/2009 05:56 PM >I appreciate the update, however we need a workaround. Surely weblink isworking for someone??? The process of releasing a fix will be long. Wehave events that need to be registered for NOW. Please tell me how we ...

  • Re: F1 Support

Sid, I will be excited to see the changes to the support system, if we make it that long. We are currently hobbling along trying to find our way around several ''development issues'' and it is not going well. I understand your reponse to the issue involving what seems to be unresponsive support requests, but what about the underlying ...

  • F1 Support

When submitting support requests, does anyone else feel like you're talking to a robot? We've been using F1 for a little over 2 months. In that time, I have submitted 12 support requests. Some of them were just about reports or modifying reports -- those were handled pretty quickly. However, of the 12 submitted, SIX of them ...

  • Re: Tracking other contacts

OK -- since no one else is replying -- I thought I'd go ahead and post what we decided to do. Maybe someone else has a better way, but this is what we did. I created a contact form called ''Outgoing Contact''. Within the form are items like ''Pastoral Call (Josh)'' and ''Pastoral Call (Bill)''. With the name in parentheses ...

  • Re: Tracking other contacts

We're trying to figure this out too. The ''contacts'' functionality seems to be aimed at ''assigning'' someone to complete a specific request or task. We're trying to figure out how best to record an outgoing contact that is initiated from within the staff, rather than from the members or lay leadership. When I decide to send a card ...

  • Re: Any idea when Mass Action will be avaliable?

I am thrilled to use the mass action to create participant assignments. But we really NEED to be able to add individual attributes this way. Our issue: We want to assign 200 people to a particular newsletter. (We track who subscribes to what newsletter through attributes). It is a pain to go to each of those profiles and add ...
