I would like to hear from other sites how you handle staffing your kiosks for weekday and weeknight events. Is the ministry hosting the event responsible for checking in their participants? Who handles caregiving? What if you have multiple events checking in at the same time?

We are in the process of getting our volunteers to checkin using self checkin. We have keytags with the volunteers name and barcode on it. What I am trying to figure out is the easiest and most effective way to give staffing assignments to volunteers when not everyone serves using the same schedule.

We are looking for ways to boost our check in numbers for our two youth groups. We have both a Jr. High and a Sr. High group which meet on different nights. I have read that for check-in beta that if you have a barcode for a child then you can scan the barcode and it will fully check them in and print their name tag, if they already have a participation assignment. Is this true?

This is exactly how we have our childrens ministry set up. When checking in children our checkin volunteers just balance the groups .
