  • Re: iPhone

Can anyone at FT comment on whether the limitation lquigley is describing would continue to be a problem with the new REST API?

  • Forwarding emails to groups

We have several missionaries who keep in touch with the congregation through our Prayer Chain. In the past I could simply forward their emails to the Prayer Chain group I had in Outlook. How do I do it with F1?

  • What barcode scanner are you using?

We have some old scanners that won't scan a barcode at all.  I'd really like to look at setting up self-checkin for our youth ministry using barcodes. Just wondered what everyone is using that actually works. Thanks Mark

  • Plasma, Dog Plasma: Generics vs. Objects

I came across an interesting quote from Tony Northrup regarding .net Generics:    “I haven’t been able to reproduce the performance benefits of generics; however, according to Microsoft, generics are faster than using casting.  In practice, casting proved to be several times faster than using a generic.  However, you probably ...

  • What do QA, a SaaS company, and Christmas have in common?

Fellowship Technologies, of course!   Let's establish a baseline and start with what we know.  According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of quality assurance is, ''…a program for the systematic monitoring and evaluation of the various aspects of a project, service, or facility to ensure that standards of quality are being ...

  • Facing a Mid-Life (Technology) Crisis

Lately I feel like I'm entering into a mid-life crisis. But this one is neither biological nor emotional. Coloring my hair and buying a red sports car won't make me feel any better (ok, well maybe it will). No, this crisis is a technology one. You see, much like when my metabolism slowed to crawl after I passed 30 so has my ability to keep ...

  • SXSW Day 3 - I know kung fu

Ok, so I don't know kungf u but I was able to make it to the Ajax Kung Fu Meets Accessibility Feng Shui panel. The first half of the presentation was pretty interesting. Jeremy Keith used some screen captures from the Matrix to help illustrate his points or at least make his presentation look cool. He talked about how there is a fine line when ...

  • SXSW Day 2 - Why we should ignore our users... Wha?

After dragging ourselves out of the hotel room (it seems that Austin has some sort of mystical property that makes you super-tired in the morning. Combine that with the time zone change = 2 grumpy coders.  2 grumpy coders + Starbucks in the convention center = :) ). After getting some caffeine we hit the doors running and made ...

  • Technology with a purpose

A common theme you'll probably hear about from many of us at Fellowship Tech is how we desire to use our talents and skills for a purpose.  Not just any purpose will do, either.  We want that purpose to ultimately be God's purpose for our lives. I just want to give a short expression of that passion from a developer's ...
